Requirements
- Education: A Master's degree in a related social science field such as family/child counseling, development, psychology, or social services is required.
- Licensure: Must be a BBS-licensed LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD.
- Experience: Four years of direct service experience with the mentally ill, children, adolescents, and/or adults is preferred.
- Supervision: Two years of post-licensure experience with the ability to provide clinical supervision to registered interns/associates and/or practicum students is preferred. Two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is also preferred.
- Certifications: A valid California Driver's License and BLS CPR/First Aid certification are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and program management, including hiring and training staff to serve adolescents and transitional-age youth with varying degrees of social and emotional needs.
- Offer ongoing training, support, supervision, and evaluation of team members’ individual performance.
- Ensure adherence to BBS requirements when providing clinical supervision to appropriate intern/associate staff, using in vivo supervision as needed.
- Communicate programmatic and operational expectations to Full-Service Partnership (FSP) staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with county agencies, healthcare facilities, cultural centers, placement centers, and other resources to support the continuum of care for clients.
Division/Program Overview
Program: Valley Star’s Full-Service Partnership is for adults ages 18 to 59 and provides mental health services and linkage support to community services.
Population Served: Adults aged 18 to 59
Facility & Setting: Services are provided in the office, in-home, or in community locations.
Clinical Services: Individual and family counseling, group counseling, psychiatric care, medication management, crisis intervention services.
Skills & Transition: Housing and vocational support, independent living skills training.
Skills & Services: Linkage support to community services, intense case management.
