About the Role

Community Counseling Services (CCS) clinics at Cal Lutheran provide therapy to children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. We operate one of the largest university-based, low-fee community counseling clinics in California, delivering over 10,000 low-fee therapy sessions annually, primarily to Ventura County and Western LA County residents. Therapy sessions are conducted in Spanish and English by Master's and Doctoral students supervised by licensed clinicians.

Reporting to the Director of Community Counseling Services (CCS), Clinical Supervisors provide individual and/or group clinical supervision to MFT interns and graduate student trainees enrolled in Cal Lutheran's MFT and PsyD programs. Supervisors facilitate trainee growth, consult on cases, and ensure high-quality client care. Supervisors meet twice-monthly with the Clinic Director and utilize digital recordings of therapy sessions for supervision. Supervisors may work at the Westlake Village clinic, Oxnard clinic, or both, with some virtual supervision permitted.
