About the role

The Behavioral Health Therapist provides compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and/or families experiencing emotional, behavioral, or psychological challenges. This role involves clinical assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support the well-being of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders using evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Collects data about patients through interview, case history, psychological tests, and/or observational techniques; evaluates data to identify cause of problems and to determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other resources.
  • Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
  • Mets with patients regularly to provide counseling and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provides therapeutic crisis intervention as required.
  • Collaborate with other staff and multidisciplinary team members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Documents therapy visits and all encounters in a timely manner in the electronic medical records system.
  • Maintain up-to-date client and program records as required by funders and agency.
  • Evaluates patient progress and makes individual modifications.
  • Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services.
  • Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.

Requirements

  • Education/Professional: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
  • Current with all state licensing requirements, including LCSW, LMHC and LMFT.
  • Experience providing therapy in a clinical or community setting.
  • Experience working with co-occurring populations (HIV, chronic health conditions, mental health, and substance use) preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check as required.

Pay

$65,200 - $81,600 annually based on experience

Schedule

Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
