About the Role
Provides assessment, treatment planning, individual, group, and family counseling for patients on inpatient behavioral health units. Assists with discharge planning, collaborates with treatment teams, and participates in staffing and community coordination. Utilizes evidence-based therapies like CBT and ensures timely documentation. Supports milieu management, assists with legal and guardianship issues, and promotes patient rights and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling to patients and families, involving family in treatment
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and monitor progress
- Assist with milieu management and admissions during low census
- Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with community providers
- Support legal processes related to guardianship and reporting abuse
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
- Licensure as LCSW or LCPC in Illinois
- 1+ year of relevant experience
- Certifications including CPI training

- Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills
- Ability to respond appropriately to diverse populations and maintain confidentiality
