POSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Behavioral Health Professional provides mental health assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and treatment planning services to individuals in a correctional environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Behavioral Health Professional supports rehabilitation and recovery by addressing behavioral health needs in a secure correctional facility.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate
- Aids in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects
- May direct special projects as requested
- Participates in and conducts in-service trainings/education, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff
- Documents appropriately in the Electronic Health Record
- Attends training and meetings as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- MUST be licensed in Kansas (LMSW, LCSW, LMLP, LCP, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT or equivalent).
