About the role
City of Newcastle (CN) has a permanent opportunity for a Licensed Plumber Tradesperson to join our Building Trades Services team. Reporting to the Team Leader Building Trades Services, you'll deliver plumbing maintenance, repairs and construction services across a diverse range of Council assets. From planned asset preservation projects to reactive maintenance, you'll use your expertise to provide safe, compliant and high-quality plumbing solutions.
We're seeking a qualified plumbing professional with experience in construction, maintenance and repair, strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality outcomes. You'll work independently and collaboratively to deliver excellent customer service, support apprentices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Building Trades Services team. Through your work, you'll play an important role in helping keep Newcastle's community facilities safe, reliable and fit for purpose.
Responsibilities
- Deliver plumbing maintenance, repairs and construction services across Council assets
- Provide safe, compliant and high-quality plumbing solutions for planned and reactive projects
- Work independently and collaboratively to support team goals
- Support apprentices and contribute to continuous improvement
- Deliver excellent customer service
Requirements
- Qualified plumbing professional with experience in construction, maintenance and repair
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to quality outcomes
- Right to live and work in Australia

Pay
$85,149.95 per annum + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation for a 38-hour week.
Schedule
38 hours per week with flexible work arrangements.
