About the role

As a Regional Field Manager (Grassroots Engagement Director), you will identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in Southeast Wisconsin to mobilize action and drive policy reforms that create opportunities for all.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and motivate activists across the state who are—or could become—local community leaders to advocate for change.
  • Equip local leaders with training and resources to advocate for policies aligned with LIBRE’s principles.
  • Organize events to engage the public through phone calls, social media, neighborhood canvassing, and innovative outreach methods.
  • Maintain regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
  • Manage part-time canvassing contractors, including time management, legal compliance, and best practices.
  • Canvass neighborhoods, make phone calls, and coordinate volunteers for LIBRE, AFP priority initiatives, and AFP Action-endorsed candidates.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Passion for relationship-building and inspiring people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
  • Self-motivation and strong organizational skills to manage multiple events and activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with LIBRE staff and activists.
  • Willingness to canvass, make phone calls, and coordinate volunteers.
  • Valid driver’s license for travel within the state.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Qualifications

Standout candidates will have experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, political campaigns, or volunteer/staff supervision.
