About the role
The Library Program Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing bilingual storytimes in Spanish, ensuring that they are engaging and educational for children and their families.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute bilingual storytime programs for children and their caregivers
- Collaborate with other library staff to enhance community engagement
- Assist in maintaining the library’s collection and resources
- Conduct outreach activities to promote library services
Requirements
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- A degree in library science or a related field
- Experience working with children and families
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of children’s literature and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Skills
- Effective communication and public speaking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic computer literacy
