Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of public service desk coverage and collection circulation using online systems.
- Keep patron information confidential.
- Work as team member to improve patron services and resolve reported problems.
- Assess overdue/lost material fines and fees according to NICC policy.
- Assist library patrons in locating material and information from various sources.
- Assist users with computers, databases, & photocopiers.
- Process requests for lending and borrowing initiated by NICC patrons or requested from other libraries (Interlibrary Lending).
- Collect statistics on use of library material and provide reports as requested.
- Perform collection maintenance tasks.
- Issue library cards, NICC IDs & clinical badges per College policy.
Essential Functions
- Duties include on-site staffing of library operation, public service, and periodical subscription maintenance for district (Peosta & Calmar campus library collections) among other duties.
- Work cannot be accomplished remotely.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Associate Degree preferred. Library experience preferred.
- CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES : Must possess valid driver’s license.
