About the Role

The Liability Claims Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire liability claims process. This role ensures timely, cost-effective resolution of claims by managing investigations, liability assessments, negotiations, and compliance. The position is critical for minimizing the organization's financial and reputational risks associated with liability claims.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of liability claims, including evidence gathering and witness interviews.
• Evaluate claims to assess liability and collaborate with legal counsel and insurance providers on resolution strategies.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and representatives within company policies and legal standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation and prepare reports for management and external parties.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Identify risk areas and recommend policy or procedure improvements to reduce exposure.
• Facilitate communication and provide support among internal teams, external partners, and claimants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Insurance, Legal Studies, or related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
• Several years of experience in liability claims management or related roles, preferably within corporate or insurance environments.
• Strong knowledge of liability law, insurance principles, and claims handling.
• Skilled in analysis, negotiation, and problem-solving.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office.

Pay

Annual salary estimated between $100,000 and $120,000 based on national data and candidate qualifications.
