Liability Claims Adjuster

About the role

As a Property Field Adjuster you will manage claims end‑to‑end for residential property lines, providing expert evaluation and service. Responsibilities

• Own property claims from first notice of loss through resolution.
• Conduct on‑site inspections to assess damage and determine coverage.
• Develop estimates using Cotality.
• Guide policyholders through the claims process with clear communication.
• Partner with agents and internal teams to deliver strong outcomes.
• Participate in catastrophe duty as needed; CAT duty can be throughout the United States and may last up to four weeks.

Requirements

• At least one year of property claims handling experience.
• Experience with estimating platforms (e.g., Xactimate, Cotality, Symbility).
• Experience with property inspections and damage assessment.
• Knowledge of dwelling/mobile‑home construction.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work in the field, including climbing ladders and lifting 40 lb or more.
• Applicants requiring employer sponsorship of a visa will not be considered.

Location & Travel

Candidates must be located in or near Princeton, Tom’s River, Manchester Township, or Lakehurst, New Jersey, and must have flexibility to complete CAT deployments as needed.

Pay

The salary range for this role in New Jersey is $60,000 – $85,000 annually, plus bonus and the benefits listed above.
