About the role

Join NextEra Energy as an LFG Production Technician II at our Blue Ridge facility in Chambersburg, PA. Reporting to the site daily as your home office, this position involves complying with all regulations and policies, driving continuous performance improvement, and performing other assigned duties.

In plant operations, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining industrial engines, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines. You will participate in routine and major maintenance activities, manage fuel consumption rates, temperature and pressure thresholds, energy output, emissions output, and recordkeeping. You will collaborate with other technicians to manage onsite inventory and maintain a clean, safe, and presentable work environment. This role includes participation in the site on-call schedule as instructed by the Lead Technician and may require occasional overnight travel to assist at other sites.

Responsibilities

• Participate in routine and major maintenance on industrial engines, conducting all work safely and efficiently while adhering to safety regulations.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain industrial engines to ensure compliance with relevant permits and environmental plans.
• Manage fuel consumption rates, temperature thresholds, pressure thresholds, energy output, emissions output, and recordkeeping.
• Participate in on-site monitoring and recordkeeping in accordance with permits and environmental plans.
• Collaborate with other technicians to manage onsite inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and spare parts are maintained and tracked.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment through regular cleaning and housekeeping.
• Participate in the site on-call schedule as instructed by the LFG Production Technician Leader.
• Assist in closing out Maximo Work Orders and making log book entries for pressure outputs, temperature and pressure thresholds, energy, and emission outputs.
• Perform detailed recordkeeping and other job-related duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skillsets.
• Uphold safe working habits and conditions, adhering to NextEra Energy Resources' company policies, culture, and values.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1.5+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver’s License (Non-CDL).

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
