About the role

Join NextEra Energy as an LFG Production Technician II at our Northern Tier facility in Troy, PA. Reporting to the site daily as your home office, this position involves complying with all regulations and policies, driving continuous performance improvement, and performing other assigned duties.

In plant operations, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining industrial engines, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines. You will collaborate with other technicians to manage onsite inventory, participate in facility cleaning and housekeeping, and take part in the site on-call schedule as instructed by the Lead Technician.

Responsibilities

• Participate in routine and major maintenance activities on industrial engines, conducting all work safely and efficiently while observing safety regulations.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain industrial engines to ensure compliance with relevant permits and environmental plans, including managing fuel consumption rates, temperature thresholds, pressure thresholds, energy output, emissions output, and recordkeeping.
• Participate in on-site monitoring and recordkeeping in accordance with permits and environmental plans.
• Collaborate with other technicians to manage onsite inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and spare parts are maintained and tracked.
• Participate in facility cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a safe and presentable environment.
• Take part in the site on-call schedule as instructed by the LFG Production Technician Leader.
• May be required to travel overnight to assist at other sites.
• Assist in closing out Maximo Work Orders and log book entries of pressure outputs, temperature and pressure thresholds, energy and emission outputs.
• Maintain detailed recordkeeping of equipment maintenance, tracking, and production activities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skillsets.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1.5+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver’s License (Non-CDL).

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
