About the role

Debtwire, a leading provider of global fixed income news, analysis and data, is looking for a reporter to cover the North American high‑yield bond and syndicated loan market. Working on the news desk in New York with sweeping views of Central Park, you will break news on companies raising leveraged loans and bonds for M&A, refinancing and organic growth. This is not a deal‑pricing position – you will write in‑depth stories on investor sentiment about new issuance and broader market trends, and chronicle the push and pull between syndicated and private credit as borrowers and financial sponsors seek the best financing terms, particularly for AI data centers, leveraged buyouts and refinancing maturing debt.

Debtwire journalists are expected to use their own initiative to uncover leads from market sources at asset managers, law firms, banks and beyond, while collaborating extensively with fellow reporters and analysts across Debtwire, Mergermarket and Infralogic globally to break news in a highly competitive space. Extensive market training is provided on the job.
