Description
Bloomberg News is seeking a Leveraged Loan Reporter to join its primary markets credit team in New York. You'll cover some of the riskiest debt deals in a market where private equity firms finance multibillion-dollar buyouts and large dividend payouts, while technology companies increasingly tap loans to help fund massive AI infrastructure investments.
Requirements
- Proven track record of breaking news and building Wall Street sources to track North American loan sales as they are marketed to investors.
- Write with clarity for a broad audience and be comfortable digging into financial documents and datasets.
- A strong understanding of corporate finance and debt markets is essential.
- Close collaboration with reporters covering adjacent areas of leveraged finance, including private credit, junk bonds, private placements and collateralized loan obligations.
Qualifications
- Experience in financial journalism or leveraged finance.
- Deep knowledge of leveraged loans, private credit or CLOs.
- Ability to write quickly and clearly under deadline pressure.
- Generate exclusive, breaking news.
