Responsibilities
- Forklift (LP and electrical) Preventative Maintenance services: Fluid change, engine oil, transmission fluid, differential gear lube and hydraulic fluid. Filter replacements: Air filter, oil filter, fuel filter and ATF filter.
- Tune Up’s: Adjust valves and replace spark plug and spark plug wires.
- Brake / riser adjustments.
- Inspect and repack wheel bearings.
- Inspect and water forklift batteries on a defined schedule. Battery removal, repairs, and installs.
- Equipment paint touch ups as required.
- Attachment pad rotations.
- Part replacements as necessary: can include horns, lights, tires, etc.
- Basic overheating trouble shooting and repair knowledge.
- Perform steering trouble shooting and repair.
- Maintain a minimum of 30 Completed PM Services per month.
- Keep a minimum of an 80 - 90% productivity level.
Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience with trouble shooting skills with electric equipment or LP equipment.
- Experience in basic repairs of electric or LP equipment.
- Basic electrical, LP, hydraulic system, and DVOM knowledge.
- Basic wiring schematic reading experience.
- Good customer service skills.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Must have computer applications using MS Office.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction.
- Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in environment with excessive noise and respiratory hazards without restriction.
- Must be able to stand or lie down for extended periods of time to repair equipment.
- Must be able to have flexible movement: to reach equipment and/or parts and maneuver equipment.
- Willingness to travel at various times.
