Level II Technician

Responsibilities

• Forklift (LP and electrical) Preventative Maintenance services: Fluid change, engine oil, transmission fluid, differential gear lube and hydraulic fluid. Filter replacements: Air filter, oil filter, fuel filter and ATF filter.
• Tune Up’s: Adjust valves and replace spark plug and spark plug wires.
• Brake / riser adjustments.
• Inspect and repack wheel bearings.
• Inspect and water forklift batteries on a defined schedule. Battery removal, repairs, and installs.
• Equipment paint touch ups as required.
• Attachment pad rotations.
• Part replacements as necessary: can include horns, lights, tires, etc.
• Basic overheating trouble shooting and repair knowledge.
• Perform steering trouble shooting and repair.
• Maintain a minimum of 30 Completed PM Services per month.
• Keep a minimum of an 80 - 90% productivity level.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years experience with trouble shooting skills with electric equipment or LP equipment.
• Experience in basic repairs of electric or LP equipment.
• Basic electrical, LP, hydraulic system, and DVOM knowledge.
• Basic wiring schematic reading experience.
• Good customer service skills.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Must have computer applications using MS Office.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction.
• Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to work in environment with excessive noise and respiratory hazards without restriction.
• Must be able to stand or lie down for extended periods of time to repair equipment.
• Must be able to have flexible movement: to reach equipment and/or parts and maneuver equipment.
• Willingness to travel at various times.
