The general duties and major areas of responsibilities of the Field Machining technicians can be broken down into the following stages:

• Review of client job scope.
• Compliance with all safety procedures and job documentation.
• Accountability of job equipment and tooling prior to arriving job site.
• Achieve or exceed client quality expectations.
• Achieve or exceed client production expectations.

Responsibilities

The Field Machinist is responsible for the set up and operation of a wide variety of portable machine tools to perform on-site machine work and repairs on location at client work sites. Primary role is to execute field machining operations in accordance with the approved site and company procedures. The technician is directly responsible for the execution of services in accordance with the requirements of the site and TEAM process and procedures. The technician undertakes the training and development to continuously improve their skills and levels of competence and knowledge. Trained and competent technicians will be required to lead technicians of a lesser on job sites.

• Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
• Documents all field machining service activities as required.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical school or relevant training preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in field machining in an industrial setting required.
• Current HAZWOPER training certificate preferred.
