Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reads drawings and planning packages, updates as needed for ECN activity or directed changes.
  • Verifies dimensions and performs functional/analytical testing as required.
  • Maintains calibration listings and updates as needed.
  • Proficient in use of calipers, DMMs, Optical comparator, micrometer, ring, thread, plug gages, profilometer, XRF, optical measuring systems. Other inspection equipment as required and trained.
  • Inspects and records resulting inspection or audit data accurately and with appropriate detail in relevant systems (SAP, Access, etc).
  • Looks for and highlights improvement or failure trends. Supports operations for purges, sorts and blocking inventory deemed defective.
  • Writes procedures used for inspection activities, updates planning packages, confers with engineers as needed.

  • Blocked inventory material documentation and tracking

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to articulate inspection information effectively with design engineers, and operations team
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, angles, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to interpret ANSI GD&T dimensioning and determine best practical approach to inspect all dimensions as needed
  • Have working knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and word processing software

Education And Experience

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Or three to five years related experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
  • Reach with hands and arms;

  • Work on a computer;
  • Occasionally stand and walk;
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;

Hourly Range

$24/hr - $32/hr
