Level 1 or 2 DC Power Tech
About the role
Centerline Communications (in direct partnership with Maicom), LLC specializes in the development, construction, and maintenance of wireless telecommunications networks. The company has grown significantly since its inception, expanding from 5 employees to over 1,200 employees across the U.S. and globally. We are currently seeking a Level 1/2 Lead DC Power Technician for the Critical Infrastructure Team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate installation workloads, assign jobs, direct, instruct, and assist equipment installers with installation of equipment.
- Work independently and without supervision and instruction.
- Perform circuit modifications, software adds or upgrades, power transition work, addition or removal of batteries, addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources, equipment testing and turn-up, job-site supervision of subcontractor work, additions, modifications or removals to Power Boards, and all required documentation and Visio as-builts.
- Travel up to 75% or more is required for this role.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience or equivalent as determined by the installation supervisor, CI manager, and Maicom management.
- Proficiency in the installation, testing, and turn-up of DC power systems, inverters, batteries, iron work, equipment cabinets, BDCBBs, BDFBs, and related hardware.
- Current training certificates from each manufacturer of equipment being installed.
- Maintain a yearly update of the manufacturer's training or as required by the manufacturer.
- Capable of performing the same work operations/job activities as a Skill Level 3 installer without supervision or direction.
- Capable of performing as the Installation supervisor-in-charge person.
- Capable of performing additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits.
- All Level 4 work operations/job activities may include: Circuit modifications, Software additions, upgrades or updates, Power transition work, Addition or removal of batteries.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and insurable under the company insurance policy.
Skills
- Proficiency in DC power systems, inverters, batteries, iron work, equipment cabinets, BDCBBs, BDFBs, and related hardware.
- Ability to perform complex tasks independently.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits
Base pay range for this position in California is $25-30.00/hr.
