You were born to be the boss. As an Assistant Manager at Domino's Pizza, you'll oversee operations during your shift, ensuring everything runs smoothly—from cost controls and inventory to customer relations. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of store operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
  • Set the example for your team by adhering to all policies and procedures 100% of the time.
  • Manage staffing, paperwork, food preparation, scheduling, and store cleanliness.
  • Ensure perfect image and adherence to company standards, including great customer service.
  • Monitor profitability, marketing efforts, and attendance/punctuality of team members.
  • Operate equipment, stock ingredients, process orders, and maintain inventory.
  • Train and orient new team members on the job.

General Duties for All Store Team Members

  • Operate store equipment and prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility daily.
  • Navigate adverse terrain (e.g., multi-story buildings, private homes) while delivering product.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers, co-workers, and people across diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
  • Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements (e.g., using a computer keyboard, touch screen, or pizza peel).
  • Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in work areas) and adverse weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to stand for most of the shift, lift up to 30 pounds, push/pull trays, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Willingness to perform any job necessary, including cleaning, food prep, and delivery tasks.

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
  • Handling hot surfaces/tools (e.g., oven up to 500°F or higher) and sharp edges/moving mechanical parts.
  • Adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks or delivering product.
  • Sensory requirements: near/mid-range vision, depth perception, ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces, and night vision for driving.
  • Temperaments: ability to direct activities, work under stress, meet quality control standards, and make judgments/decisions.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position (work surfaces 36"–48" high).
  • Walking: Short distances for short durations; standing/walking for most of the shift.
  • Lifting: Unloading bulk deliveries (cases stacked up to 72" high), carrying 30-pound pizza sauce, and trays of dough (12 lbs/tray).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 pounds).
  • Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs/ladder for maintenance or sign changes.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station and front counter; repeated throughout the day.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like scooping ingredients or answering phones.
  • Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination for shaping dough, using pizza peel, assembling boxes, and operating equipment.

Skills

  • Judgment, math, and multitasking abilities.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing.
  • Respectful and effective communication across cultures, abilities, genders, ethnicities, and races.
  • Use of tools/equipment: computers, phones, calculators, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and TDD equipment.

Pay

Assistant Managers in Washington start at $16.66–$18.97 per hour, with raises based on training evaluations. Monthly bonuses are offered if criteria and responsibilities are met (not guaranteed).

Schedule
