Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of store operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
  • Set the example by adhering to all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your team does the same.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, paperwork, and food management.
  • Maintain perfect store image, cleanliness, and adherence to standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure profitability.
  • Operate equipment, prepare product, and process orders (phone and in-person).
  • Conduct inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility daily.
  • Perform delivery duties, including navigating routes, handling payments, and delivering orders to customers.
  • Distribute marketing materials (flyers, door hangers).

Requirements

  • Strong judgment, math skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to comprehend and give clear written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and making correct monetary change.
  • Motor coordination for rapid, precise movements (e.g., using a keyboard, touch screen, or pizza peel).
  • Navigational skills for reading maps and locating addresses within the delivery area.
  • Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work under stress, direct activities, and meet quality control standards.

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., removing trash, making deliveries).
  • In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
  • Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
  • Hot surfaces/tools (ovens up to 500°F or higher) and sharp edges/moving mechanical parts.
  • Tasks requiring standing for extended periods on ceramic tile or linoleum floors.
  • Frequent walking, bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and climbing (e.g., stairs, ladders).
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds (e.g., ingredient cases, pizza trays, sauce cans).
  • Pushing/pulling trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force).

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks performed while standing; work surfaces range from 36" to 48" high.
  • Walking: Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel travel between store, vehicle, and customer locations.
  • Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Unloading deliveries (up to 50 lbs), stacking cases on shelves up to 72" high, carrying trays of dough (12 lbs each), and transporting pizzas/beverages during delivery.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (up to 7.5 lbs of force).
  • Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs, cleaning, or maintenance; deliveries may require climbing five+ flights of stairs.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly, stocking ingredients, front counter tasks).
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning on oven controls, stocking shelves, or processing orders.
  • Hand Tasks: Frequent use of hands for tasks like shaping dough, using a pizza peel, cutting pizza, assembling boxes, and handling tools/equipment.
