LEP Employment Navigator

As a LEP Employment Navigator, you’ll help clients feel comfortable and confident while delivering comprehensive coaching, employment training, job placement support, goal setting, and skill-building to navigate the complex task of moving out of poverty. About the role
This part-time, hybrid position (25 hours per week) is based in Snohomish County and King County. You’ll manage a caseload, deliver individualized coaching and training, and connect participants with employers and community resources to help them succeed in the workplace. The role involves both remote work and in-person client meetings.
Responsibilities
- Reach and invite customers to apply for services to exceed enrollment goals and produce program outcomes.
- Conduct employer and participant outreach, recruitment, orientation, eligibility determination, initial assessment, and service plan development.
- Develop a Customer Service Plan to prepare participants for unsubsidized employment at a family-supporting wage.
- Provide comprehensive caseload management, including job readiness training, job search assistance (career coaching, labor market information, skills assessments, resume and interviewing coaching), job retention services, English language acquisition, job skills training, and job placement.
- Ensure appropriate timelines and lengths of participation, help participants achieve their service plan, and manage orderly exits from services.
- Conduct timely, accurate, and complete data entry for registrations, enrollments, status changes, exits, and post-exit MIS in the division’s operating system.
- Provide job coaching, including interviewing, assessing work readiness, offering service/training options, and connecting seekers to pathway services.
- Reduce wait times, eliminate lines, and connect job seekers to value-added services quickly while tracking customer activity.
- Stay current on WorkSource programs, workshops, and activities, and refer guests to appropriate resources.
- Develop, expand, and maintain working relationships with partners, employers, and fund sources to achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain timely, consistent, and professional communication to support program success.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one-year experience in workforce development, social services, job placement, job development, sales, job coaching, employment and training, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, LinkedIn, and other business-related networking applications.
- Flexibility to work some evening and/or weekend hours.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse and fast-paced environment with a commitment to diversity, equity, and cultural competency.
- Daily availability of a personal vehicle or alternate transportation to meet job requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual or multilingual in languages relevant to the community.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Work, Communication, Workforce Development, Psychology, or Sociology (or equivalent work experience).
- Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP).
- Experience working with refugee and immigrant populations and/or lived experience as a member of a refugee or immigrant community.
- Demonstrated success in a performance-based system with experience in employer relations, job placement, or workforce development.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities, criminal history, homelessness, family violence, or poverty.
- Experience in public speaking and presentations to diverse communities.

Pay
Pay range for job offer: $25.48–$28.37 hourly, depending on experience, plus benefits. Full annual pay range for the lifetime of the position: $25.50–$37.50 per hour.
Schedule
Part-time, 25 hours per week, with flexibility to work some evening and/or weekend hours. Hybrid work arrangement (remote and in-person client meetings).
