About the Job

The Workforce Career Navigator drives talent retention and internal mobility within the Human Resources department. Reporting directly to the Director of Workforce Planning, Development & Career Pathways, this exempt-level role provides specialized career coaching and program management across the health system. You will serve as the primary guide for employees at all stages of their career lifecycles, managing key entry pipelines and removing barriers to professional advancement.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver 1:1 Coaching: Advise employees on internal pathways, career readiness, and specialized professional growth opportunities.
  • Manage Talent Pipelines: Oversee day-to-day operations for ESOL, high school outreach, and apprenticeship cohorts.
  • Support Internal Mobility: Partner with managers to facilitate transitions, assess candidate readiness, and share best practices.
  • Enhance Hiring Strategies: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to streamline internal candidate onboarding and improve retention.
  • Bridge Stakeholder Gaps: Act as the primary liaison between frontline participants, departmental leaders, and external educational partners.

Who You Are

Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, human services, education, healthcare administration, or a closely related field. An Associate’s degree combined with additional years of direct workforce development experience may be considered.

Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in career counseling, workforce development, academic advising, recruitment, or human services case management. Experience within a healthcare ecosystem or supporting multi-cultural, diverse populations is highly preferred.

  • A Retention Advocate: Driven to champion internal talent and build equitable pathways for organizational advancement.
