The clinical course focuses on the application of leadership and management concepts in inpatient, acute care, and community settings. It develops students' skills and practical application of concepts such as team, quality, delegation, innovation, negotiation, problem-solving, safety, and quality within organizations. Data, quality improvement, and service delivery models are examined in the context of the clinical setting's scientific, technological, financial, political, and cultural aspects. Compliance and ethics related to leadership for professional practice are also explored.
About the Role
The Lecturer appointed to this position is expected to attend all simulations and clinical conferences, perform clinical site visits, and provide feedback to students. They bear primary responsibility for grading assignments and simulations and computing final grades in a timely manner. This position involves classroom and/or clinical teaching that may take place in a hospital or clinic setting and may include additional on-site work hours.

Requirements
- A master of nursing degree is required.
- Prioritization will be given to applicants with both didactic and clinical teaching experience and content expertise in microbiology.
- A nursing license in the State of Michigan is required for this position (current licensure or willingness to obtain licensure).
- Prior to the start date, applicants must be compliant with all health requirements, including Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, orientations, licenses/certifications, and policies and procedures both internal and external to the University for their assigned classroom(s) and/or clinical site(s).
- Ability to promote the School of Nursing's Declaration of Values, including interrupting or disrupting disrespect, practicing beneficial, kind, and true communication, inspiring and being inspired by members' worth, significance, and integrity, and cultivating respect for oneself and others.
Qualifications
- Master of Nursing Degree
