About the role
The Department of Education at Santa Clara University seeks to hire one or more Lecturers for the 2026-27 academic school year. The position is benefits eligible and the expected course load will be 5-6 course equivalents.
Responsibilities
- Teaching constitutes the primary job responsibility and should incorporate 95% of the lecturer’s time. This is a full-time position, incorporating the teaching of four or five graduate level courses and supervising 4-5 dissertation students (representing an additional 1 course equivalent).
- Courses will be assigned based on experience and expertise; an individual candidate is not expected to be able to teach all courses.
- The candidate will need to teach the following courses:
- EDUC 375 Leading for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- EDUC 433 Social Inquiry Methods & Research Collaborations III
- EDUC 437 Communities of Inquiry: Dissertation in Practice II
- EDUC 439 Dissertation Research
- Additional service responsibilities may be assigned depending on experience.
Qualifications
- Earned an Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field from an accredited university
- Strong commitments to public education
- Experience as an instructor in graduate level education
- Experience in educational leadership, mentoring, or supervision of early career educators

$11,070 - $11,760 per course depending on the candidate's college-level teaching experience.
