MCDB 310, "Introductory Biochemistry" – 50% LEO Lecturer I position for Fall Term 2026 (August 31 – December 21, 2026). Terms and conditions are subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers Employee Organization.
About the Role
The Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology seeks a Lecturer I to teach three discussion sections, provide general course communication and support, and hold office hours.
Responsibilities
- Teach three discussion sections of MCDB 310, “Introductory Biochemistry”
- Communicate with and support students enrolled in the course
- Hold regular office hours
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field
- Expertise in the topics covered in MCDB 310, “Introductory Biochemistry,” at the University of Michigan
Qualifications
- Evidence of excellent teaching skills
- Fluency in biochemistry
