Lending Systems Software Tester

Role Overview

This position requires a professional to conduct functional and regression tests on automated systems to ensure compliance with business practices and policies. The successful candidate will assist with comprehensive testing of enhancements to new and existing software, as well as new systems. This opportunity involves identifying discrepancies and working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve system issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete regression tests of new and existing systems when new or modified functions are introduced.
• Conduct functional tests to ensure software operates properly and interfaces correctly with other systems.
• Create and edit test cases in accordance with system requirements and business objectives.
• Determine function problems by reviewing testing actions, results, and system outputs such as reports.
• Create, modify, and locate the data and conditions needed to execute test cases.
• Identify and analyze business and system requirements to document problems, possible causes, and potential solutions.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand project concepts, objectives, and approaches.
• Collaborate with programmers and analysts to assist in problem resolution and verify modifications.
• Maintain a complete testing log including time spent, software problems encountered, and testing time lost.
• Review user documentation related to tested system functions for accuracy prior to dissemination.

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience: Experience in testing systems across various platforms, ideally within the financial industry, with an understanding of operational and regulatory risks and controls.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with automated systems analysis, development, and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of technologies such as HPE Unified Functional Testing software, HP ALM, and JIRA is required, alongside database and presentation software skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automation testing.
• Familiarity with project lifecycles and management methodologies.
