About the role
The Legislative Representative will work towards fostering productive relationships between the executive and legislative branches and assist the Mayor's administration in developing and advancing the Administration’s agenda through State law and the State budget.
About You
You can demonstrate the understanding of and experience with any combination of the following: the State legislative process, public policy analysis, New York City or State agency operations, and lobbying.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in New York State legislative processes and ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university with two (2) years of experience in administrative, analytic, coordinative, supervisory or liaison responsibilities.
- Four-year high school diploma (or equivalent) plus four (4) years of experience in administrative, analytic, coordinative, supervisory or liaison responsibilities.
- Satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to the above.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills.
Pay
$75,000.00 – $85,000.00
