Legislative Affairs Specialist
The Opportunity
Perform the full range of congressional liaison work, including analyzing, researching, and formulating official responses to requests from Members of Congress, Congressional Committees, and supporting Congressional Staff. Monitor the status of relevant legislation, pertinent hearings, markups, and floor actions. Develop comprehensive briefs and impact assessments on active legislative projects that highlight potential risks and opportunities for the organization. Research and develop background papers, talking points, and written and verbal statements for leadership when preparing to brief Congress or working engagements. Maintain organized databases and tracking systems for key legislation, voting records, and Congressional Committee schedules.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment
- 3+ years of experience in legislative affairs, congressional affairs, policy analysis, or working directly on Capitol Hill
- Experience with legislative and regulatory documents and processes
- Experience researching and writing background papers, talking points, and verbal and written statements
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to shifting legislative priorities
- Secret clearance

Pay
$62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD)
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
