Legal Unit Supervisor
About the role
The Attorney Supervisor manages and oversees a team of Attorneys responsible for interpreting and enforcing employment and labor law compliance and enforcement across the state. They also assist the Assistant Chief Counsel and ensure direct managerial support and oversight to improve workflow coordination and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work of the Labor Commissioner Office’s legal staff, including attorneys, legal analysts, and other legal support staff.
- Helps oversee the day-to-day operations of the Legal Office.
- Aids the Assistant Chief Counsel in assisting with the coordination and oversight of the legal staff to improve workflow, mitigate errors or oversights, and handle special requests or escalated requests.

This position will supervise a group of Attorneys who provide counsel and litigation support for field enforcement staff, litigate, appear at trial frequently, and cover a wide range of appellate cases in fulfilling the mission of promoting economic justice through robust enforcement of labor laws.
