Legal Support Specialist (IP)

Primary Responsibilities

• Assisting attorneys with global trademark and copyright portfolio management
• Preparing and managing U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution filings
• Assisting attorneys with U.S. and foreign trademark oppositions, cancellations and other disputes, including managing deadlines and preparing and coordinating evidence and client communications
• Maintaining a large and complex docket of domestic and international trademarks and domain names, as well as U.S. copyrights, including management and oversight of the docketing database
• Maintaining client-facing extranets
• Preparing trademark, copyright and domain name status reports for attorneys and clients
• Corresponding directly with clients, the USPTO and foreign counsel on a daily basis regarding status, deadlines and outstanding issues

Qualifications

• Previous law firm experience is a plus
• BA/BS degree
• The position requires excellent organization, precise attention to detail, and demonstrated success in multitasking
• The ideal candidate can learn quickly and work independently and efficiently on multiple tasks of varying levels of complexity at any given time
• The candidate must be highly motivated to follow through with assignments and have strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and solid computer skills
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe

Pay

The pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on location, skillset and experience: $50,000 - $60,000
