About the role

The Law Office of Shelly M. Ingram, LLC is a family law firm based in Howard County, Maryland. We provide legal services in areas such as divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence.

Responsibilities

  • Helping prepare case files, research, and draft legal documents
  • Organizing and managing physical and digital case files
  • Drafting and reviewing court forms and correspondence (with support)
  • Communicating with clients, court staff, and other professionals
  • Attending hearings or mediations, when appropriate
  • Conducting legal research and writing up your findings
  • Supporting day-to-day office operations

Requirements

Enrollment in a Legal Studies or Paralegal Studies program

  • A genuine interest in family law
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • A professional attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for Mac; experience with Adobe and Clio Manage is a bonus!
