Core Responsibilities
- Sources and identifies qualified legal professionals, including attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, compliance professionals, and other specialized talent.
- Develops and maintains talent pipelines using recruiting platforms, referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
- Conducts market research to understand talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive hiring conditions within the legal space.
- Builds targeted search strategies for open roles based on practice area, experience level, and client or business needs.
- Engages candidates through professional, compelling outreach that accurately reflects the opportunity and employer brand.
- Conducts candidate screenings to evaluate legal experience, practice area alignment, compensation expectations, career goals, and overall fit.
- Maintains timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process, providing updates, feedback, and guidance as appropriate.
- Represents roles and opportunities with accuracy, professionalism, and attention to confidentiality.
- Manages active legal searches in a staffing agency environment by organizing candidate pipelines, prioritizing outreach, and advancing qualified candidates across multiple client openings.
- Prepares candidate summaries and presents qualified talent to internal stakeholders or clients in a timely manner.
- Collaborates with internal leadership, hiring managers, and clients to understand role requirements, hiring priorities, and candidate profiles.
- Refines recruiting strategies based on search progress, candidate feedback, and market intelligence.
- Contributes to best practices, process improvements, and knowledge sharing across the recruiting team, including the thoughtful use of open-source AI tools to support sourcing, research, outreach preparation, and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of recruiting experience, with prior staffing agency experience required and legal recruiting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting for legal roles such as attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, compliance professionals, or other related talent.
- Proficiency with sourcing tools, applicant tracking systems, and professional networking platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
- A strong understanding of the legal talent market, hiring processes, and candidate evaluation best practices.
- The ability to manage multiple searches, maintain organization, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with open-source AI tools and the ability to use them appropriately to support research, sourcing strategy, candidate outreach, and day-to-day recruiting efficiency is preferred.
