Legal Operations Manager – Paralegal

Responsibilities
- Direct the work of paralegal and docketing personnel, aligning assignments and priorities to maintain timely, accurate legal support across the firm.
- Partner with firm leadership on operational planning, workforce matters, and departmental performance as an active member of the management team.
- Oversee critical administrative functions such as docket control, incoming mail coordination, and day-to-day workflow management to support efficient legal operations.
- Handle employee relations matters and assist with human resources activities, including coordination related to benefits administration and internal approvals.
- Manage external vendor partnerships, monitor service quality, and help ensure operational resources meet business needs.
- Establish performance expectations, provide coaching, and support the growth of team members through ongoing feedback and development.
- Maintain organized calendaring and deadline tracking practices, particularly in support of intellectual property and patent-related matters.
- Contribute to office-wide initiatives and events that strengthen communication, engagement, and operational consistency in a hybrid work setting.
Requirements
- 10+ years of paralegal experience
- Prior law firm management or supervisory experience, with IP law firm experience strongly preferred
