About the Role
Interactive Brokers is seeking a Legal Operations Assistant in our Chicago or Greenwich offices. The ideal candidate will serve as a Legal Operations Assistant and assist in managing vendor contracts, regulatory, litigation, and corporate matters for IBKR. This position requires a highly organized person who can multitask and quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Serving as a point of contact for in-house attorneys, managing various matters and projects.
- Reviewing, archiving, and organizing contracts, court orders, tax levies, and other records.
- Assisting in the management of negative equity accounts and collection litigation.
- Supporting the legal team in the development and implementation of policy templates, documentation standards, and knowledge-sharing processes across regional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college/university (minimum GPA: 3.0)
- Client/customer-facing experience is a plus.
- Paralegal certification or experience is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in a legal setting or the financial services industry is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A high degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology, an understanding of how technology is applied to business, or an ability to develop this rapidly.
- Experience using the following programs is a plus: SimpleLegal, Ironclad, Atlassian / Jira suite, and Procurement Systems.
