This opportunity provides hands-on exposure to the legal and business aspects of the private markets industry while working alongside experienced legal professionals.
Responsibilities
- AI & Legal Innovation Projects
- Support the build-out of AI-driven tools and workflows for the legal team, including researching use cases, testing prompts/templates, and helping document processes
- Assist in evaluating and organizing legal knowledge resources (precedent documents, clause libraries, playbooks) to support AI-assisted drafting and review
- Help identify opportunities to streamline repetitive legal tasks through automation
- Legal Research & Analysis
- Conduct legal research on fund formation, securities law, regulatory, and investment-related questions
- Summarize case law, regulatory updates, and industry developments relevant to the team's work
- Prepare memoranda on discrete legal issues as assigned
- Document Review & Drafting
- Assist with drafting and reviewing routine legal documents, correspondence, and internal summaries
- Support redlining and comparison of fund documents, subscription agreements, side letters, and other transaction documents
- Help maintain and organize precedent files, templates, and document libraries
- General Team Support
- Attend and take notes during team meetings, calls, and training sessions
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc research requests as they arise
- Coordinate with other internal teams (e.g., compliance, investment teams) on cross-functional matters
Qualifications
- Strong academic record
- Interest in business, finance, investment management, and related legal matters
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional office environment
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Interest in investment management, private markets, or corporate/securities law
- Comfort working with technology and interest in legal innovation/AI tools a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information

Program Details
Location: Conshohocken, PA
Work Arrangement: On-site, in-person
Schedule: Approximately 12-16 hours per week
Availability: In-person availability required at least Monday through Thursday
Academic Credit: Eligible for academic credit during the academic semester
