About the role
Locobuzz is hiring a Legal Executive to support its Legal team in a fast-growing SaaS and technology environment. The selected candidate will work closely with the Assistant Manager – Legal, assisting with day-to-day legal operations, contract lifecycle management, compliance, legal research, and business advisory while progressively taking ownership of legal matters.
The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on in-house legal experience, work closely with business stakeholders, external counsel, and the Legal team, and develop expertise in contracts, compliance, data privacy, intellectual property, and legal operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, formatting, and conducting first-level reviews of contracts, NDAs, and vendor/client agreements.
- Support data privacy compliance initiatives, including DPDP and GDPR documentation, checklists, and record-keeping.
- Maintain trademark and copyright filing trackers and coordinate with external intellectual property counsel.
- Conduct preliminary legal research on regulatory, contractual, and compliance matters.
- Support litigation matters by coordinating document collection, liaising with external counsel, and tracking case status.
- Maintain and update legal templates, internal policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Respond to day-to-day legal queries from Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and other business teams.
- Organise and maintain the contract repository and compliance calendar.
Requirements
- An LL.B. (or equivalent) degree.
- Enrollment with the relevant State Bar Council.
- 1–3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a SaaS, Technology, IT company, or a law firm with exposure to Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) or General Corporate matters.
- Working knowledge of DPDP, GDPR, and basic intellectual property concepts.
- Strong legal drafting, communication, and research skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior in-house legal experience will be an added advantage.
