Responsibilities

  • Aid with general corporate needs of Krafton, Inc. and its subsidiaries, including corporate governance, intercompany matters, tax matters, corporate compliance, subsidiary formation, employee equity incentive plans for subsidiaries.
  • Enhance and maintain the company’s corporate compliance and subsidiary formation and management program.
  • Draft intercompany agreements and policies among affiliates (e.g., intercompany services agreements, tax sharing agreements, etc.).
  • Legal support for integrations of acquired studios.
  • Draft, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements including (for example) services, marketing, development, publishing, licensing, and technology agreements.
  • Review, negotiate, and draft a variety of agreements, including commercial agreements including (for example) services, marketing, development, licensing, and technology agreements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across the business, including global teams.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining scalable legal processes.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and legal teams in other regions to support global initiatives.
  • Support development of legal policies, training materials, and compliance processes and help foster a culture of compliance and innovation.
  • Cookordination with outside counsel where applicable.
  • Monitor legal developments and assess impact on the business.
  • Assist with day-to-day legal support for North American based studios and offices.
  • Assist with employment matters.
  • Perform other legal tasks as needed.
  • Qualifications

    • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
    • 4–6 years of relevant experience, including top-tier law firm experience or in-house counsel experience with a global company.
    • Payments experience is a plus.
    • Knowledge of / experience with issues related to corporate governance, intercompany matters, tax matters, corporate compliance, subsidiary formation, employee equity incentive plans for subsidiaries, etc.
    • Communication wizard that can distil complex concepts to easy to understand actionable advice.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across time zones and cultures.
    • Experience working in a global organization or with international stakeholders is a plus.
    • Experience with video games, entertainment, IP, or software technology is a plus.
    • Experience using generative AI to perform legal work and manage projects is a plus.
    • Knowledge/experience with tax & accounting issues is a plus.
    • Experience with employment law and employment matters is a plus.
    • Strong individual contributor with ‘roll-up sleeves’ attitude, but who is also a team player, helping drive team success.
    • Knowledge of Korean or other foreign language is a plus.
