Why Box Needs You
The Box Legal team is seeking a commercial attorney with experience in cloud computing transactions, AI, and global privacy laws. The ideal candidate will support go-to-market activities in the United States and internationally, focusing on drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements for the sale of Box's products and services.
What You'll Do
- Independently draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements involving technical, commercial, data protection, privacy, and intellectual property issues.
- Drive business outcomes and provide actionable advice to sales leadership, executive management, and other internal stakeholders on complex legal, business, and strategic issues.
- Collaborate across various departments including finance, order management, engineering, product, security, global risk and compliance, and more.
- Contribute to broader team initiatives such as sales enablement, AI agentic development, knowledge management, and team playbooks.

Required Skills
- 5+ years of relevant post-law school experience.
- Accredited law degree and a current and active license to practice law in the United States.
- Demonstrated technical understanding and proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including multi-jurisdictional transactions, cloud services, AI use and governance provisions, and related professional services and support.
- Experience with US and EU privacy and data protection regulations including the EU Data Act, EU DORA, HIPAA, HITECH, CCPA/CPRA, and GDPR.
Preferred Skills
- Experience providing in-house legal support to companies with business operations on a global scale.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple business expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to complex procurement processes, including US federal, state and local government sales.
