About the role

We are seeking a Legal Contracts Manager with experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a high volume of routine and complex contracts. The specialist will have the ability to analyze and interpret legal language and work directly with business colleagues to prepare contracts for execution and implementation. The candidate will support the business by providing training and education on our contract management system and will assist with financial requisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate and file a high volume of routine contracts
  • Communicate with internal business partners regarding the risks presented by contract terms and possible strategies to mitigate such risk
  • Support administration of the company’s contract management system (CMS)
  • Affirmative action statement

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree and 6+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and 4+ years of related experience
  • Paralegal Certificate required
  • Biotech/Pharma industry experience strongly preferred
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents and to effectively present information to business partners and management
  • Must be able to work independently and use judgment, within defined practices and policies, regarding contractual matters
  • Must have expertise with legal contracts and documents
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior level law professionals
  • Must have thorough working knowledge of computer software, including word processing, email and database programs
  • Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work
  • Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas
  • Proficient with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area
  • Works as part of a team; may train lower levels
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented yet can see broader picture for department
  • Meets multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrate ability to interact in a collaborative manner and at a professional level with clients at all levels throughout the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Positive attitude, the ability to work with others, be self-motivated requiring limited supervision and a desire to learn

Benefits

  • The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $119,700.00-$164,000.00.
  • Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
  • In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program.
