Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize legal documents related to corporate compliance, mergers and acquisitions, securities compliance, real estate transactions and related matters
  • Prepare and complete certain documents, federal and state filings, and other regulatory body documents related to the above matters
  • Establish and maintain files
  • Enters file information into legal database
  • Prepare and distribute special reports
  • Create exhibits
  • Compose letters and routine correspondence
  • Maintain department calendar and monitor critical dates
  • Sort and distribute daily mail and correspondence
  • Answer and screen all incoming phone calls
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Cook up and confirm travel arrangements as needed
  • Respond to requests for information
  • Archive documents

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Possess strong organizational skills, focusing on details
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of law office experience preferred
  • Familiarity with legal documents and terminology
  • Working knowledge and experience in Word or WordPerfect
  • Strong research and writing skills
