Position Overview And Responsibilities

This role is a full-time, hourly position supporting attorneys in our Litigation Practice Group. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Typing, transcribing, revising, and proofreading legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Performing electronic court filings (eFiling) and maintaining accurate docketing systems.
  • Maintaining and organizing both electronic and paper files.
  • Coordinating calendars and tracking court dates, deadlines, and other critical dates.
  • Conducting general research.
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for client calls, emails, and correspondence.
  • Assisting clients with questions, requests, and ongoing matters.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
  • Successfully managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience And Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of litigation experience.
  • General knowledge of state and federal trial court processes and procedures.
  • Skilled in addressing and addressing sensitive topics with discretion and professionalism.
  • Advanced computer skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong communication, organizational, and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional client service and team support skills.

Compensation And Benefits

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00. This is Verrill's good faith estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of this posting for the indicated location. Final base compensation will be determined by several factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, job-related qualifications, and other market factors.
