About the role

GrayRobinson, a full-service law and government consulting firm with 16 offices in Florida and Washington, D.C., has an immediate full-time Legal Assistant opening in their Tallahassee office.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-level legal and administrative support to attorneys in a high-volume practice
  • Aids in preparing cases from onset through post-trial
  • Obtains and organizes case files daily
  • Schedules and coordinates hearings, depositions, and conferences
  • Aids in trial preparation
  • Aids in document production, including creation and editing of correspondence and documents

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of litigation experience
  • Multiple skills, keen attention to detail, and effective proofreading and drafting skills
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and experience with a document management system
  • The ability to work effectively with others under deadlines
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Expertise in e-filing in state and federal courts

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with legal research tools
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
