Legal Assistant
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the OGC attorneys including managing calendars, fielding phone calls, and assisting with meeting preparation.
- Administer administrative duties that vary and require independent thinking and initiative.
- Support OGC attorneys by managing their individual cases through the electronic case management system and filing of hard copy documentation.
- Conduct legal research, calendar deadlines, collect records, and anticipate the future needs of the cases.
- Provide back-up coverage on supporting litigation matters, subpoenas, and notices of claim.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of working on employment law, such as EEOC processes.
- Ability to conduct case management including records collection, correspondence, and legal document drafting.
- Technical proficiency and high organization skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and cases simultaneously while providing administrative support to multiple attorneys, including management of busy calendars.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience working in the legal field.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
