Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents, letters, and internal materials with careful attention to formatting and accuracy.
- Cookinate attorney schedules by arranging meetings, tracking court appearances, and monitoring important deadlines.
- Organize and maintain both digital and paper records to ensure files remain complete, accessible, and up to date.
- Prepare supporting materials, assemble case-related packets, and assist with time-sensitive document processing.
- Manage high-volume word processing, filing, and document handling in a fast-moving legal office environment.
- Use NetDocuments and related systems to store, retrieve, and manage electronic legal files efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, and outside contacts regarding scheduling and administrative matters.
- Provide broader office and administrative assistance as needed to help the legal team operate smoothly.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent administrative experience, with prior law firm or legal support experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized, juggle multiple tasks, and meet competing deadlines consistently.
- High level of accuracy and close attention to detail when handling documents and calendar commitments.
- Proven ability to work with sensitive information discreetly and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams in an office environment.
- Experience with electronic document management systems such as NetDocuments is preferred.
- Typing speed of 55 words per minute or higher.
Qualifications
