A bit about us:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and experienced Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing case files, conducting state and federal filings, using Compulaw docketing, monitoring deadlines, and maintaining attorney calendars. They will also coordinate billing, prepare and update case status reports for clients and attorneys, and handle mail. This role requires a strong background in legal research, legal case management, and cm/ecf filing. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of civil litigation experience and a background in employment law or labor law.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage case files meticulously.
- C Conduct state and federal filings online using ECF/Pacer.
- Utilize Compulaw docketing system proficiently.
- Monitor and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Maintain calendars for attorneys, ensuring all appointments and deadlines are accurately recorded.
- Coordinate billing processes efficiently.
- Prepare and update case status reports for both clients and attorneys.
- Prepare folders and documents for paralegals and attorneys.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
- C Conduct legal research as required.
- Manage legal cases effectively.
- Filer documents using cm/ecf system.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
- Experience in employment law or labor law is a must.
- Proficient in using Compulaw docketing system.
- Familiarity with cm/ecf filing system.
- Strong legal research skills.
- Proven experience in legal case management.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
