Responsibilities

The attorney will act as a key attorney with responsibility for a range of work, focusing on:

  • Advising on the regulation, establishment, management, governance, and marketing of private funds.
  • Investment advisory matters, including fund formation.
  • Supporting various portfolio management teams on executing transactions for investment funds and related accounts.
  • Identifying legal and reputational risks.
  • Managing external counsel.
  • Involvement with investment and related committees.
  • Contributing to the analysis of, and formulation of strategic responses to, shifting legal and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years related legal experience in a well-regarded law firm or an in-house role.
  • Familiarity with fund structures.
  • Working knowledge of Investment Advisers Act.
  • Outstanding law firm and law school credentials.
  • Thought leader; strong analytical skills; sound judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivation to expand skill set and excel in a challenging business environment.
  • Team player; adept at developing interpersonal relationships.

Pay

The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $170000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
