Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Legal Administrative Coordinator (LAC) to support the Corporate Business Transactions, Finance, and Litigation Practice Groups in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. This hybrid role requires 3 days in-office with flexibility for remote work and occasional overtime.

About the role

Reporting to the Administrative Support Manager, this position provides a broad range of administrative, secretarial, and document processing support to assigned Practice Groups in an environment where superior client service is emphasized.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly utilize Task Delegation and Workflow Management software (BigHand) to receive, enter, and update assignments; communicate task status and developments with supervisors through BigHand or directly.
  • Assist with word processing, including editing and proofreading correspondence, memorandums, reports, and other communications.
  • Answer phones, take messages, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, arrange audio/video conferences, reserve conference rooms, and manage setups.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, advise attorneys of appointments, and update attorney address books and InterAction entries.
  • Perform redlining, prepare signature packets of closing documents, compile exhibits and schedules, and organize executed signatures of final documents.
  • Assist with time entry and process new business intake, related forms, and correspondence.
  • Process expense reports and invoices, arrange check requests, and monitor completion.
  • Arrange travel, prepare itineraries, and maintain attorney travel and desk profiles.
  • Coordinate or assist with printing, scanning, copying, and sending documents.
  • Provide legal research, case support, and project assistance.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of administrative support experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous law firm experience required.
  • Experience supporting a Litigation practice, including State and Federal Court rules and filing procedures, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF software.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Exhibits strategic thinking, initiative, and productivity in handling assignments and projects.
  • Demonstrates excellent client communication skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $75,038.00 - $97,457.00. The final salary will be determined based on prior experience, relevant expertise, business needs, and market factors. The total compensation package may also include medical, financial, and other benefits (e.g., 401(k) eligibility, paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and parental leave).

Schedule
