About the role
The Gender Studies program at Rutgers University–Camden invites applications for lecturer positions to teach courses in women’s studies, gender, masculinities, transgender studies, and queer/LGBTQIA+ studies in Fall 2025, Winter 2026, Spring 2026, and/or Summer 2026. The position may also involve participation in campus programming planning around gender studies.
Responsibilities
- Teach online (Canvas), on campus, and/or at off-campus locations
- Teach introductory and advanced courses in women’s studies, gender, masculinities, transgender studies, and queer/LGBTQIA+ studies
- Participate in campus programming planning around gender studies
Requirements
- Effective teaching experience
- Ability to teach both online and in-person
- Experience teaching introductory and advanced courses in women’s studies, gender, masculinities, transgender studies, and queer/LGBTQIA+ studies
- PhD in Women’s Studies, Gender Studies, or a related field
- Strong commitment to teaching and student success
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with Canvas and other online learning platforms
