About the role
Instructor position for the 4-unit undergraduate course Embedded Computer Systems (SIE 370), offered every Fall and Spring semester. The course serves industrial engineering, systems engineering, and engineering management majors, as well as other engineering students taking it as a technical elective. It includes a hands-on laboratory component.
Responsibilities
- Prepare lecture materials and student assessments (quizzes, homework, exams, projects).
- Deliver in-person lectures on the University of Arizona Main Campus.
- Provide flexible learning options for online or remote students.
Requirements
- Academic and/or industry experience in embedded computer systems and hands-on applications.

- Combinational and sequential logic circuits
- Finite state machines
- Simple computer architecture
- Assembly and C/C++ language programming
- Real-time computer control
